KASTHALL’S PALETTE RUG REFLECTS THE COLORS OF AN ARTIST AT WORK Kasthall Design Studio drew on archive materials, colors and designs from the factory’s long history to create this year’s new rug collection. Palette, an elegant, hand-tufted wool rug by Maja Johnsson Starander, conjures thoughts of an artist at work. Visit www.kasthall.com
NARROW STRIPE ICON – NEW TAKE ON A CLASSIC WOOL RUG IN EXCITING COLOR COMBINATIONS The creation of the decade’s first rug collection began with a voyage of discovery through the factory in Kinna, Sweden. Long-forgotten yarns, leftover dyes and historical patterns inspired Kasthall Design Studio to create something new. One of the rugs is Narrow Stripe Icon, a woven rug in the finest wool.
COSMOPOLITAN ELEGANCE DEFINES KASTHALL’S NEW HARPER RUG The Harper rug, designed by Ellinor Eliasson, is part of Kasthall’s new collection Colors In Between, which was launched at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2020. Kasthall Design Studio’s collection pays homage to the company’s rich archive of patterns and materials, as preserved in the historic factory in Kinna.
Kasthall will be launching its new collection Colors In Between during the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair 2020. The collection is inspired by colors and materials found in the nooks and crannies of the factory. Poetry is one of the rugs in the collection, and just like the name of the collection, a lot of Poetry’s allure lies in the transitions of the colors.
The 2020 collection from Kasthall called “Colors in Between” is an exploratory tribute to the captivating encounters that occur when color, shadow and light come together. First out in the collection is Flourish, a hand-tufted wool rug made of residual yarn that brings to mind expansive geometric airfields and the color mosaics of open landscapes.
CLASSIC GRETA IN NEW PLAYFUL TONES Between the years 1987–2015 designer Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg created the majority of Kasthall’s classic rugs, including Greta. This woven wool rug is now being updated in seven new colorways and featured in Kasthall’s 2020 collection Colors in Between.
