THE EVOLUTION OF GRÖNSKA – ILSE CRAWFORD’S COLLECTION GROWS WITH ADDITIONAL COLORS
Kasthall’s Grönska collection, created in a design collaboration with British designer Ilse Crawford, is being updated this autumn with four new colors. Inspired by the Swedish landscape around the Kasthall factory in Kinna, Västergötland, Sweden, Grönska pays homage to the magnificent colors of nature and Kasthall’s craftsmanship.
NEW LIFE FOR CLASSIC FOGG RUG – IN GOOD COMPANY WITH MATCHING CUSHION COLLECTION
Kasthall is expanding its design heritage by breathing new life into the classic Fogg rug collection, which is being launched in new colors and shapes this fall. As part of its sustainability work, Kasthall has also developed a related collection of pillows, bringing the Fogg experience to new areas of the home.
KASTHALL WELCOMES NEW SALES DIRECTOR
On 1st October 2019, Magnus Fahlén will take up the position as new Sales Director for Kasthall Mattor & Golv AB. Magnus will be part of Kasthall's management team where the focus is now on growth in the fastest growing markets in Europe and in North America.
KASTHALL IN EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION WITH LARA BOHINC
Kasthall is launching a design collaboration with the internationally renowned British artist and designer Lara Bohinc, who has created a limited collection of rugs, wall hangings, and accessories for the home. The collection, From the Sun to the Moon, will launch on 26th March 2019 and will be available at Kasthall and at Bohinc Studios website.
KASTHALL CLASSICS: NOW IN NEW COLORS AND PATTERNS
Kasthall’s Classic rug, designed by the former design director, Gunilla Lagerhem Ullberg, was launched in 2011. Seven years later Kasthall is now delighted to present this contemporary classic in nine new colors, from powdery brown, beige and light pink tones to lively pink and turquoise colors. Classic is also being launched in three new patterns, Matris Small, Matris Large and Links.
KASTHALL INTRODUCES A BLACK DIAMOND
Black Diamond is hand tufted rug with an abstract expression and clear fashion influences. Kasthalls designer Maja Johansson Starander, sketched and experimented directly on the tufted weave to create the linear pattern in copper and cream on the black base. The aesthetical expression slowly emerged as part of this creative, experimental journey.
ÅKER- LIMITED EDITION
Åker is a limited edition tufted rug with horizontal block stripes of different textures, colors and techniques. It demonstrates a range of tuft types in each of its stripes – cut and loop pile, cut pile and bouclé pile, and uses a mixture of linen, wool and mélange yarns. WORLD PREMIERE FOR KASTHALL DESIGN COLLABORATION WITH ILSE CRAWFORD
At the Salone del Mobile in Milan last week, Kasthall launched its design collaboration with the British designer Ilse Crawford. The collection, called Grönska, consists of two tufted and three woven rugs. LIVIA – A NEW CARPET TAKES THE FLOOR
During Stockholm Design Week 2018 Kasthall is launching Livia, a new mottled wall-to-wall wool carpet. Livia draws inspiration from Nordic nature, and natural colour variations give the carpet a shifting character. This lively addition to the Kasthall range is called Livia.
UNIQUE NEW WOOL YARN BEHIND LATEST KASTHALL ORIGINALS - KATJA AND FREYJA
For the 2018 collection Legacy of Tomorrow, Kasthall has developed new yarn qualities and techniques for weaving and tufting, which are clearly reflected in Katja and Freyja, two rugs from the new collection. Both are tufted using new wool yarn with a unique undulating, felt-like character, giving them a luxurious yet robust look and feel.
GABRIELLE – A DECLARATION OF LOVE TO CRAFTSMANSHIP
For the new 2018 collection Kasthall developed new yarn qualities and novel weaving and tufting techniques. Kasthall’s classic bouclé yarn normally consists of matt wool and shimmering linen. The new Gabrielle rug is woven in a new quality of bouclé linen yarn, which has an airier expression thanks to distinct bouclés, which twist and turn playfully in the rug.
DIAMOND – TOMORROW’S DESIGN LEGACY TODAY
In the 2018 collection, Kasthall has developed new yarn qualities and innovative weaving and tufting techniques. Unique craftsmanship, like embroidery and sketching, has both inspired and been a part of the design process, which is re ected in the new Diamond rug, being launched during the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2018.
